About PetCareForms
PetCareForms is a utility site. It publishes the paperwork of looking after an animal — blank forms you fill in by hand, a generator that builds a sitter binder, care schedules by breed, and summaries of FDA pet food recalls written so an owner can act on them.
Right now that is 1 printable form, 10 breed care calendars, and 153 entries in the pet calendar. More forms are being drawn up; the categories that are empty stay empty rather than being filled with thin versions.
How the material is made
The forms and care calendars are drafted with the help of a large language model (claude-sonnet-4-6), against a written specification and a set of quality rules kept in the repository. Recall summaries are generated the same way, from the text of the FDA announcement itself and nothing else — every factual claim on a recall page has to be in the announcement, and the page links to it so you can check.
The rules the generator works under are deliberately restrictive on anything clinical. No page on this site gives a medication dose, tells you to induce vomiting, or attempts a diagnosis, because those are decisions that depend on an animal a web page has not examined. Where professionals genuinely disagree — raw diets, ear plucking, titre testing — the material says so rather than picking a side.
That said: this is not a veterinary publication and it does not claim clinical review. It is a well-made set of tools, written carefully, and the right way to use it is alongside your own veterinary practice rather than instead of it. If you find something wrong, tell us and it will be corrected or taken down.
What the site does not do
- No accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter.
- Nothing you type into the sitter binder is uploaded. The form runs in your browser and the PDF is built there.
- No advertising and no affiliate links today. If either is ever added, the privacy policy will say so before it appears.
- No doses, no diagnoses, no home remedies.
